Ephemerality

If there's one thing I learnt today, it's that

some promises, however outdated, are still valid.

(thank you for that. comforting words from an old friend, making its way through the dark night)

and some, are just plain words. ephemeral, convenient, don't mean for much.

We realize the value. Can we bring ourselves to recognise the painful truth?
